Love Hemel?
What
Love Hemel is a prayer initiative that reflects God's love for our community and unites christians from across our town.
Though from different churches, we are united in our faith in Jesus and a passion to see everyone encounter His transforming love.
Why
We have a passion to see Jesus transform our community and renew the lives of our neighbours through the power of the gospel and the depth of His love.
We believe prayer is powerful, and that God moves when we pray. Throughout the history of revival, prayer has always played a central role in seeing God move.
How
Every year we gather Christians from across the town to prayer walk every street in Hemel.
The idea was born in 2021 (see below), and has now spread to an annual event where we put our faith in action, one step and one prayer at a time.
We hope to hold other events in the future, with the purpose of praying for our town at the centre.
" Love Hemel is a God-inspired idea that I felt Him place on my heart during the COVID-19 pandemic. I first started in 2021 when I walked every street in Hemel, praying for healing and restoration from the effects of the pandemic.
Now I believe this initiative has stretched wider than just myself, and I believe God's heart is that believers from across Hemel would come together to declare the Name of Jesus over every street, home and heart in Hemel Hempstead. Using the 'Lord's Prayer' as a guide we want to see His Kingdom come and His will be done in Hemel Hempstead"
